A Chicago store owner who was fired upon by suspects during a burglary in process was able to defend herself and her store by returning fire on the men. Reports say that at about 4:35 a.m. three males shattered the front door window of V’s Convenience store and began to steal merchandise. The store owner, a 40-year-old woman, arrived as the incident was happening, which is when one of the suspects fired at her with his gun. The woman, a legal concealed-carry holder, fired back with her own handgun. Neither the suspects nor the woman were injured during the exchange, although the woman admits she was nervous that the men would continue to shoot at her. Instead, the men ran off on foot.
