Valentines Guns Roses Lede 2

Many NRA Women appreciate receiving roses as a symbol of love from their spouse or significant other on Valentine’s Day. But cut flowers in a vase water don’t last long, and roses are pricey, averaging about $100 a dozen these days. Once the petals start to drop, they're just a memory. For long-lasting beauty and enjoyment, why not instead consider a gun—adorned with roses? Thanks to several prominent gun makers, we have some gift ideas for you to plant with your partner this Valentine's Day. Take a look:

Henry Repeating Arms American Beauty Rifle
Several years ago Henry Repeating Arms introduced a .22 lever-action with a decidedly feminine flare, the American Beauty rifle. Contributor B. Gil Homan reviewed this rifle, which is based on Henry’s Golden Boy, in “A Lever-Action Love Story.” In summary, the American Beauty is a member of the Henry's Silver Series, and features American Walnut stocks, 20" octagonal barrels and standard-size lever loops. What sets the American Beauty apart from the other tributes is the embellishment of the receiver. The engraving is original artwork that was hand-cut by master engraver Heidi Roos, which is mechanically transferred to the receiver instead of using laser engraving or acid etching. Both sides of the receiver are filled with fine, old-fashioned floral pattern scroll work. At the center of the engraving is a 14K gold rose with the words “American Beauty” in a banner below it. Its eye-catching but tastefully applied so as to be in harmony with the clean, classical lines of the rifle. For more, visit henryusa.com.

ROSE by SIG Sauer
Early in 2023, world champion shooter Lena Miculek collaborated with SIG Sauer to create the all-new ROSE brand, designed to help encourage and inspire women to take on the responsibility of their own personal safety through education, training and community. But ROSE by SIG Sauer is much more than a gun—although it is that, too.  This complete firearms education program begins with a custom ROSE P365 kit that includes a special edition P365-XL COMP ROSE pistol chambered in 9mm or P365-380 ROSE; a custom ROSE Vaultek safe; and instant access to a complete step-by-step video training series with Lena Miculek that is supported by an online community. Miculek explains it all here in this new video. Rose was created to help, encourage, and inspire women to take on the responsibility of their own personal safety through education, training and community. Join Lena Miculek in becoming a well-trained, safe, and responsible firearms owner. Heritage Barkeep "Roses"
Heritage Manufacturing introduced the Barkeep .22 single-action revolver in 2021, representing the smallest of the Rough Rider series. The Barkeep, initially offered in three different grip options, was an instant hit with consumers, and which piqued our interest enough to review the guns here. In 2022 firearms distributor Davidson’s partnered again with Heritage Manufacturing to produce another exclusive model. Continuing with its “Old West” styling, the exclusive Barkeep “Roses” features a 2” barrel, with an overall length of 8.125”.  A manual safety is situated on the left-side of the frame. And, of course, the birdshead grip engraved with roses and vines, while a 6-round cylinder is adorned with roses and flourishes, which all contribute to the revolver’s dramatic flair. Sights are the standard blade front coupled with a rear notch sight. For more, visit Davidson’s GalleryofGuns.com.

TALO Colt Custom Exclusive
In 2022 TALO Distributors, Inc. introduced an exclusive upgraded 1911—a Colt Custom 38 Super in Rose Gold. This beautiful take on the Series 80 pistol is finished in a highly polished Rose Gold PVD with upgraded Pearlite grips with a gold medallion. It has a 5” barrel with 9+1 capacity. Only several hundred of these models were produced. TALO is a wholesale buying group that works with premier vendors in the industry to create products and programs for sale to their dealer customer base, and its special editions have raised over a million dollars for non-profits like USA Shooting Team, Semper Fi, Navy Seals Foundation, Navy Seals Museum, and Marine Raiders. For more, go to Taloinc.com.

Glock and Roses
We love the slimline 9mm 10+1-round Glock 43X as a dependable self-defense option, but subtle is not a word that would describe this Limited Special Edition model. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, as they say, even for this model that features a custom Black Cherry finish with factory engraved roses on the slide and scroll design on the grips. You can do a web search for “Glock and Roses” to find this pistol, which is sold at a variety of independent firearm dealers around the country.
