Federal Premium: Primed Nutrition For You (& Your Gun)

Guns digest Federal ammo like birthday cake ... now the manufacturer has Primed Nutrition for you, too!

When outdoor writers evaluate a new gun or ammunition product, it's pretty common for us to refer to whether or not the gun "likes to eat" various kinds of ammunition. That way of expressing how a gun performs with different types of ammo just got a lot more literal with Federal Premium's latest product, Primed Nutrition. The big surprise? This high-quality fodder isn't for your firearm; it's for you

Where did the impetus for a line of nutrition for people, instead of guns, originate? From hunters and shooters themselves, of course. It's common for us to spend entire days out in the field, and nobody is going to want to cook until after legal light ends, but we're still going to get hungry. The problem comes in with the fact that many energy bars contain ingredients like caffeine or guarana that can cause shakiness, which affects accuracy ... and that's the absolute last thing an ethical hunter wants.

Primed Nutrition is the brainchild of a partnership between Federal and nutrition brand Go Condition, an expert sports nutrition team. The concept is to create a targeted range of sports-specific, nourishing products that help shooters in the field. Remarked Federal’s Vice President of Marketing Jason Nash, “Primed is formulated with the same dedication to quality, accuracy and effectiveness that we apply to the development of all of our products. As active participants in shooting sports ourselves, we know how important it is to stay awake, energetic, focused and alert when it comes time to make the shot.”

Primed Nutrition's supplements and energy bars also make a fine addition to your "shelter in place" kit. Sealed against the elements, nutritionally balanced and energy-dense, you can expect Primed products to remain edible for years to come when properly stored. Learn more at Primed Nutrition here.
