Slide Headrest Safe

Early in 2023 The Headrest Safe Company introduced one of the most unique and practical items we've come across—a safe built into a car's headrest. Yes, it's an aftermarket universal headrest that uses a two-post headrest (which is most of the cars on the market). Contents are quickly accessed via a biometric lock reader and keypad. And while gun owners naturally default to the safe as an unlikely place to stash a firearm (it will securely hold a full-size 1911 pistol), think cash, medications and other items you need to keep out of sight of would-be intruders, or the hands of kids or valets when you park your car. Now the company has expanded its offerings to include The Slide Headrest Safe, which features a removable safe that you can take with you from the car. Wondering how it works? Simple. The interior safe slides in and out of the headrest housing. It locks in place while in the housing, but when you need it with you, just unlock the safe, slide it out and take it with you. The design is symmetrical so you can install it on either the passenger or driver seat. If you have multiple vehicles, you can purchase multiple housing units and take your Slide from vehicle to vehicle.

“When it comes to carrying your valuables or firearms in your vehicle, most people think they have to choose between safety and convenience,” said Louis Tuck, COO/CFO, The Headrest Safe Company LLC. “With The Headrest Safe, you can have the best of both worlds: peace of mind that it’s secure, plus easy access.”

Whether going to the store, gym, beach, hiking, camping, fishing, or using a hotel or restaurant valet, your valuables are safe and secure. With its universal design, The Slide Headrest Safe will fit in almost all vehicles. With a quick-access biometric reader and keypad, you have rapid access to whatever you have securely stored away. You will never have to worry about taking your valuables with you again. The Slide Headrest Safe can only be removed by owner or installer.

This two-piece also functions as a removable, easy-to-carry lockbox with an off-shoulder strap and is compliant in states where handguns must be securely stored during transport out of your vehicle. Need to hop on a flight with your firearm? No problem. It’s also TSA-compliant, enabling it for use during air transportation. Securely store anything of value and take it with you when you leave your vehicle. Colors include black, dark gray or light gray leatherette upholstery.
