The NRA Hunters’ Leadership Forum (HLF) is pleased to announce that Aurelia Skipwith Giacometto—former U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) Director under the Trump Administration—will serve as keynote speaker at its NRA HLF Reception during the NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits’ in Dallas on May 18 Home - 2024 NRA Hunters' Leadership Forum Reception (cvent.com) from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Omni Dallas Hotel. Giacometto now serves as Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) where she focuses on developing policies to sustainably develop and manage the state’s natural resources.
Giacometto assumed her role as the 14th Secretary of the LDEQ in January 2024 and was the first cabinet member named by Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry. She draws on 20 years of experience in various regulatory fields of environmental stewardship, agriculture and wildlife and fisheries.
