High Speed Low Drag Lede

High-speed, low-drag: That's common military parlance for cutting-edge technology, and that's what storied gun manufacturer Smith & Wesson has delivered in its new limited-edition M&P M2.0 Compact Optics-Ready Spec Series Pistol Kit. Although this 9 mm semi-automatic handgun can and will work beautifully for a beginning shooter, its true raison d’être is to deliver all the cutting-edge performance that practiced pros who are particular in their tastes demand from a Spec Series pistol from Smith.

This cutting-edge semi-auto comes complete with a limited-edition Smith & Wesson knife and challenge coin (which you'll need). What do we mean by that? Well, in military tradition the challenge coin denotes membership and acceptance; it's a mark of camaraderie and belonging. Having it proves you're part of the S&W family. It's yours to keep or give away to someone you want to welcome to the "club."

As for the M&P that's the star of this limited-edition package, it's top-of-the-line. The new Spec Series pistol comes complete with co-witness sights and a 4.6˝ threaded barrel, so you may affix a suppressor if you wish. The gun also boasts Smith's C.O.R.E. system, which allows you to mount your preferred handgun optic. That bull shark-gray Cerakote finish is reminiscent of jet aircraft ,and it's just as sleek. The flat face trigger allows for consistent finger placement, and that allows for more accurate shot placement.

The limited-edition kit includes two 23-round 9 mm magazines so you can spend less time reloading and more time practicing. Smith & Wesson has also included an additional 15-round magazine that fits flush for better concealment should you wish to concealed-carry (CCW). Rounding out the kit is a collectable (and useful) M&P knife that features a 4˝ blade with an overall length of 9˝. Last, the kit arrives in a tough custom-fit plastic carrying case.

Right now, Smith & Wesson has a limited quantity of the M&P® M2.0™ Compact Optics-Ready Spec Series Pistol Kit for $799. For more information, visit www.smith-wesson.com.
