Louisiana and South Carolina became the 28th and 29th states, respectively, to enact Constitutional Carry legislation. Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry signed the NRA-backed Constitutional Carry bill, while Governor Henry McMaster signed the same legislation for South Carolina. NRA Interim EVP and CEO Andrew Arulanandam, along with NRA-ILA Executive Director Randy Kozuch, were in attendance for each of the signing ceremonies.

Fox News was the first to break the stories, which include quotes from Gov. Landry; La. Sen. Blake Miguez (the bill's author), House Speaker Pro Tempore Mike Johnson (the bill's co-author); Arulanandam, and Kozuch. Notably, all three legislators (Landry, Miguez, and Johnson) expressed their gratitude to NRA members in their official statements to Fox News. Read the full story here. NRA offered recognition to all NRA staff, and especially its Louisiana State Director, Kelby Seanor, who worked tirelessly to make this day a reality.

Similarly, Fox News was the first to break the story on the South Carolina signing, which includes quotes from NRA Interim EVP and CEO Andrew Arulanandam, NRA-ILA Chief Lobbyist Randy Kozuch, Gov. McMaster, and Rep. Bobby Cox (the primary bill author), who thanked his "fellow NRA members." You can read the full story here. NRA recognized and thanked all NRA staff and its South Carolina State Director, Taylor McKee, for their hard work leading up to today.
