Weatherby Orion Sxs Lede 2

Don’t blame us if you feel inexplicably compelled to don a herringbone tweed jacket and a pair of Wellies on your next upland bird hunt—that is, if you are also sporting the newest shotgun in Weatherby’s Orion family, the Orion SxS (side-by-side).

Word is Weatherby will soon introduce Orion SxS which, although ideal for bird hunting, is also the perfect shotgun companion on the clays field. Of course, the straight English stock, splinter fore-end, and double triggers bring a classic but functional look to the Orion family, while a swamp rib with a brass bead assists with achieving a clear sight picture. The SxS comes equipped with five extended chokes (SK, IC, Mod, IM, Full) and the barrel was designed to handle modern steel shot loads. Made for conscious bird hunters, the side-by-side features extractors to make sure empty shells end up in your pocket and not on the landscape. Starting at just 6.7 lbs, this shotgun can be carried all day long without bringing on fatigue. What’s. more, the shotgun will be offered in 12 and 20 gauge. MSRP: $1,099. Check with your local Weatherby dealer for availability.
