The Czech company knows what means most for shotguns: reliability, pricing and fit, fit, fit!

If you don’t know what the “CZ” in “CZ-USA” stands for, it’s “Česká zbrojovka,” but nobody expects you to pronounce it because the important part is the “USA.” The Czech-based company has long proven that its firearms are perfect for Americans … even those of us who are short of stature or left-handed. New for 2022 is CZ-USA’s two new side-by-side purpose-built shotguns. Each is an extension of the popular Bobwhite G2 shotgun line, and each is available at an excellent price for a fine double-barreled scattergun. Dubbed the Bobwhite G2 Intermediate and the Bobwhite G2 Southpaw, these guns are ready for NRA Women who don’t fit the “usual” mold.

The ”usual” mold for long guns is a person of about 5’9”, which is considerably taller than the average American woman. Because gun fit is so critical to shotgun success, this has traditionally meant that female shooters have needed to purchase a gun that’s too large and then have it custom fit by an expert. The other option was to go to a shotgun made for youths, which may turn out to be too small.

The Bobwhite G2 Intermediate stands as a “just right” fit for many women. The shorter barrel length and length of pull, as well as shorter overall dimensions, make the Intermediate a much better “starting point” for having your shotgun properly fit. It has a 26” barrel, which is 2” shorter than the standard model, and a length of pull that is right at 14”. Otherwise, it includes all the great features found on the standard model. The new Bobwhite G2 Intermediate is available in 20 gauge only.

What about the lefties? As you may already know, left-handed shooters are at something of a disadvantage when shooting guns that were made for right-handed people, and that becomes more evident than ever with shotgun shooting. The Bobwhite G2 Southpaw enriches CZ’s existing lefty-friendly offerings.

Although it's identical to the standard Bobwhite G2 in reliability and function, the Southpaw’s stock is “cast on,” meaning it’s bent in the opposite direction so that it will properly fit when a shooter brings it to their left shoulder. All other popular Bobwhite G2 features remain in the Southpaw model, including its CNC’d receiver, double triggers, English-style straight grip and interchangeable choke tubes. It features 28-inch barrels and includes five flush chokes from Cylinder to Full in 12 or 20 gauge.

Both guns are available at an MSRP of $709; cz-usa.com
