Beretta has announced that it has signed Jessica Mauro to its professional pistol competition team. Mauro will compete with the 92X Performance Carry Optic in USPSA (United States Pistol Shooting Association) competitions and the 92X Performance Defensive in IDPA (International Defensive Pistol Association) events.

Mauro joins the team with podium finishes at the 2022 IDPA National Championship and the USPSA 2-Gun National Championship, as well as 22 additional podium finishes in her first 2.5 years of competitive shooting.

“I am honored and humbled to become a part of Team Beretta," Mauro said. “Joining forces with such a distinguished institution is a privilege that allows me to weave my story into the fabric of an iconic brand that has shaped the history of firearms for centuries.”

Mauro has performed exceptionally so far this year with a ladies’ overall champion title in the 2023 Rio Salado 32nd Annual Spring Steel Challenge and several second-place finishes at recent competitions, including the 2023 Yuma Charity Match, the 2023 Northern Arizona Classic, and the 2023 Berry’s Steel Open.

“As we continue our strong growth of Team Beretta competing with the 92X Performance, Jessica was a natural consideration,” said Sports Marketing Manager Amanda Popp. “She’s quickly established herself as a strong competitor in USPSA and has been a great supporter and partner to Beretta, including being a valued contributor to the design and recent launch of the Ladies Training Gear Collection. We look forward to supporting her success on the field over the next three years with the 92X and competition apparel.”

The new 92X Performance Carry Optic model retains the same ergonomics and features of the popular 92X Performance platform with a red dot optic-ready slide, included optic plates, and improved trigger performance. Compliant with the USPSA (United States Pistol Shooting Association) Carry Optic division regulations, the 92X Performance Carry Optic provides an uncompromising performance aimed at earning you a spot at the top of the podium with power, speed, and accuracy.

Specifically designed for those consumers who participate in IDPA competitions, the 92X Performance Defensive maintains the same ergonomic design and controls as the popular 92X Performance Production platform with new enhanced features such as a lightened steel frame and slide, a red-dot optic ready slide, and aggressively textured 92X-style thin grips for instinctive control.

Mauro will join her fellow Team Beretta pistol athletes at the 2023 USPSA Carry Optics Nationals held at the Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio, from June 23-25, 2023.
