NRA Women sponsor Smith & Wesson was recognized as Innovator of the Year as well as Manufacturer of the Year by the National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers (NASGW) at its Annual Meeting and Expo in Columbus, Ohio. In addition, Sue Cupero, vice president of sales, was presented with the Chairwoman’s Award. 

“On behalf of all the men and women of Smith & Wesson, I am incredibly honored to receive these awards,” said Mark Smith, president and chief executive officer. “Our employees strive every day to continuously design, build and deliver the top-quality firearms that our iconic company is known for, and being recognized by the industry for their hard work is truly an honor.” 

Smith add that he was proud to see vice president of sales Sue Cupero—an integral part of Smith & Wesson for more than 40 years—honored by the NASGW chairwoman. “She is a deeply respected leader, mentor, and advisor not just within our company—but within the entire firearms industry. Her experience, intelligence, relationships and knowledge of the industry are unrivaled, and on a personal level, Sue is a good friend and confidant, and I could not be more happy for her.”
