Tes Salb Hi Vix Pro Staff

Those of us lucky enough to have met Tes Salb in person know one thing for sure: HIVIZ Shooting Systems has scored a bullseye with the latest addition to the company's pro shooting team! HIVIZ, which manufactures high-quality sighting systems, recently added Salb as the company expands into The Tactical Games arena. This "Iron Woman" is sure to bring her own brand of steel to The Tactical Games, and we're excited to watch.

Never heard of The Tactical Games? It's a series of shooting competitions that also tests your physical fitness ... think CrossFit meets Practical Shooting. (You can read more about it here.)

“I’m very excited to join the roster of legendary shooters that HIVIZ supports,” said Salb. “To compete under the company banner that so many of the world’s top shooters do is truly an honor. I look forward to representing HIVIZ in The Tactical Games and at other events throughout the year.”

Salb's dedication to fitness and firearms goes way back to the age of 12, when she first began shooting as part of the sport of Modern Pentathlon. Just three years later, she competed in the U.S. Olympic Festival, joining the U.S. Shooting Program shortly thereafter in International Pistol. Salb earned a spot on the 1998 U.S. World Championship Shooting Team where she competed in Barcelona, Spain, and represented the United States in five World Cups and the 2000 U.S. Olympic Trials while on the National Team.

Salb also represented the University of Notre Dame in the NRA Collegiate Pistol Shooting Program, earning podium finishes and two First-Team-All-Americans. After graduation, she continued her multi-sport training and competitions through triathlons and CrossFit—competing in the Ironman USA in 2005. As the editor of our own Shooting Sports USA, Salb made a name for herself both on and off the firing line as a maven of all things shooting sports.

Now the Director of Marketing and Communications for HIVIZ, she has been competing for two and a half years in Tactical Games. Since 2019, she has had eight Tactical Games appearances with eight podium finishes (5-1st, 1-2nd, 2-3rd), including the National Championships. As a member of The Tactical Games University Instructor Staff, she also teaches courses throughout the country and uses her experience to help others enhance their shooting, fitness and competition skills.

Tes joins the highly decorated HIVIZ Pro Staff roster comprised of: Max Michael Jr., Team Yackley (Mark, Becky, Tim, Sean, and Andrew), Lanny Barnes, Jerry Miculek, Kay Miculek, Lena Miculek, Tony Holmes, Harlan Campbell, Jr., Wade Middleton, Allen Treadwell and Mark Hotaling.
