A woman’s ex-boyfriend broke into her home at 2 a.m. and began assaulting her while she was asleep in bed. Abruptly awakened and in fear for her life, the woman was able to shoot him with her pistol. Both were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. (krmg.com, Tulsa, Okla., 06/30/22)

A man entered a store around 11:30 p.m. armed with a knife. He attacked the clerk in an attempt to rob her. However, the woman was armed with a gun and shot the suspect multiple times. The clerk suffered minor injuries and once he was released from the hospital, was promptly taken to jail. (12newsnow.com, Beaumont, Texas, 07/23/22)
