A woman acted heroically when a man wearing a gas mask and armed with several guns entered her workplace office. The intruder—the woman’s husband—confronted her all the while pointing a shotgun at the other employees. At one point he set down his shotgun, giving his wife’s brave desk-mate a split-second opportunity to pick it up. Upon realizing his mistake, the man drew one of his pistols, but not before the woman shot him with his own gun. He returned fire, hitting the courageous woman in the arm. By her quick thinking and bravery, the woman saved the lives of her co-workers. She underwent surgery for the injury, while her supervisor and colleagues anxiously awaited her return.
