NRA Women The Armed Citizen Shooting A Pistol

A woman was visiting a friend at an apartment complex when she was texted a photo of her vehicle from an unknown number—possibly her ex-husband. When she went to the parking garage to check out her car, she was surprised by her ex, who had apparently been there waiting for her. The ex-husband, 39, then attacked the woman, striking her. In fear for her life, the 37-year-old woman drew her pistol and fired at him, wounding him. Police and paramedics responded to the shooting. The man was taken to a hospital in stable condition, and was subsequently charged with assault on a family member with a prior condition. The woman was not seriously injured.
