Proud Texan Heidi Rao already had a long resume of accomplishments when this "New Energy" video first aired in 2014. But since then this NRA Certified Firearm Instructor and (Pistol, Shotgun, Rifle and Range Safety Officer) and NRA Training Counselor has published several books and numerous articles on hunting and introducing women and kids to shooting and the great outdoors, and has contributed valuable content to the NRA Hunter's Leadership Forum website.

Today, Rao, the mother of four boys is just as passionate about educating women and youth in firearm safety, and through her involvement with the Boy Scouts of America and others, continues to instill a love of the shooting sports in generations to come.
