In 2019 American Rifleman TV shared the story behind one of the most iconic names in concealed carry, CrossBreed Holsters. Although it may be difficult to believe, this best-loved holster brand began a mere 15 years ago when founder Mark Craighead just couldn’t find a holster he liked. A dedicated shooter and CCW permit holder, Craighead had the novel idea to mate Kydex to leather to create a “crossbreed” holster that would offer the best of both materials.

As with all tales of American ingenuity, that’s only the beginning of the CrossBreed story. Built on a foundation of unapologetic Christianity, Craighead’s inspiration and dedication to those morals created a company strong enough to survive his passing. When Mark was unexpectedly called home to his Savior in 2012, his wife, Carol, took on his mantle and his mission … with results that speak for themselves.

In this episode of ARTV, learn the rest of the story behind CrossBreed Holsters—how they create custom-quality holsters at everyday Joe prices, how to get the best out of your CrossBreed holster and more.
