DSG Ava 2.0 Hunting Clothing

One of the greatest challenges for women who hunt is finding comfortable, effective camouflaged hunting clothes—and that's a challenge that DSG Outerwear has answered with its new AVA 2.0 Softshell Hunting Jacket and Pants set. What's different about DSG's approach to hunting togs is that its founder, Wendy Gavinski, set out to create technical, high-performance hunting clothes for all women (not just size 6 catalog models). The AVA 2.0 is available in sizes XS to 5XL, and engineered from the ground up to be your versatile, go-to hunting outfit from now on.

The inclusive sizing may be the biggest news, but this hunting set is feature-packed for avid women hunters. It uses a whisper-quiet tricot fabric outer layer that manages to be both waterproof and silent. That answers yet another big challenge for outerwear designers, since most waterproofing treatments tend to result in "noisy" fabrics that crackle and pop like a bowl of cereal as you're navigating underbrush.

The inner layer is micro fleece, which when married to the micro tricot outer layer gives you both wind- and waterproofing. It's designed to work as your outer layer of clothing, breaking the bite of the elements so you can adjust your under layers for the weather conditions, from harsh winter winds to sudden spring melts. It's also fully customizable with an adjustable and removable hood and adjustable cuffs.

The features don't stop there: Both jacket and pants also incorporate Agion Active XL dual-action scent control, which combats odor and neutralizes your human scent. The pants allow you to adjust the inseam from 28.5" to 32.5", which is a huge boon to those of us who have spent our entire adult lives hemming 5 inches off every off-the-rack pair of pants we've purchased. The AVA 2.0 comes in either RealTree Edge or True Timber Strata, and boasts lots of pockets for all your essential gear. MSRP: $129.99 jacket, $129.99 pants. DSGOuterwear.com
