Beretta USA has announced its new 92X Performance Carry Optic model, which retains the same ergonomics and features of its popular 92X Performance platform, but now includes a red-dot optic-ready slide. The pistol is compliant with USPSA (United States Pistol Shooting Association) Carry Optic division regulations, offering the following main features:

  • Red Dot Optic-Ready Slide
  • Xtreme-S Trigger System
  • Competition Mag Release
  • Low-Profile (USPSA Compliant) Frame Mounted Safety
  • Skeletonized Hammer
  • Adjustable Rear Sight with High-Vis Fiber Optic Front Sight
  • Toni System Optic Plates

The hallmark of the 92X Performance Family is the steel Vertec Frame with optimized performance ergonomics and weight balance. A 47.6 oz overall weight, higher beaver tail,  front and rear strap texturing all contribute to an optimal grip position and recoil management for quick purchase, draw and release control, all designed for faster target acquisition and follow-up shots. A generous magazine well has been contoured and flared to provide quicker, more accurate reloads, while the mag release is both oversized and reversible to accommodate for right or left-handed shooters.

The Xtreme-S Trigger is fully adjustable for take-up, break and overtravel, allowing for fine tuning to the shooter’s preference, and provides up to a 40-percent reset reduction in travel compared to the standard 90 series triggers. This adjustability makes the Xtreme-S the most advanced pistol trigger that Beretta has ever produced, intended to meet the needs of the world's most demanding shooters.

The optics-ready slide cut allows shooters to adopt modern optics to the platform, further enhancing the shooting experience and driving faster results on target. Plates are included with the gun out-of-the-box for end-user configuration of the most popular red-dot optics available in the market today.

The pistol comes with two magazines with extended base plates, two Toni System optic plates (compatible with four optic mounting patterns), a wraparound grip, and a California-compliant gun lock.

Available in 10- and 15-round magazine capacities. MSRP: $1,799. For more, visit BerettaUSA.com.
