Hot on the heels of its revamped Montefeltro line that came in 2023, Benelli is offering a new version of its Ultra Light 12-ga. shotgun in 2024 with improved features, handsome styling and sound ergonomics. Wingshooters on looking for a lightweight option to beat the brambles in 2024 will find the all-new Ultra Light from Benelli is a feature-rich offering comprised with renown features that has established the reputation of the Italian maker. The new Ultra Light is built around the company’s Inertia-Driven operating system and has the easy-locking bolt system—a spring-activated ball detent slides effortlessly in the bolt, locking it into battery regardless of pressure—for guaranteed chambering when the flights get dicey. With the Ultra Light 12 gauge, all Benelli’s updated Montefeltro features exist, and then some. A stepped, carbon-fiber rib, for reducing weight, is ventilated and stretches the full length of the 24” barrel; Crio chokes come standard. Further reducing weight of the Ultra Light is an open magazine tube and shortened walnut fore-end. Sweeping panels of checkering and ergonomically sound sculpting puts the Ultra Light smoothly between the hands. And for those ardent bird hunters and waterfowlers, Benelli includes a specialized coating to protect the wood’s finish for use in any weather. Stock adjustments and controls of the new-for-2024 Ultra Light are as you’d expect from the Montefeltro line of semi-automatic shotguns.
