Walther Arms has updated its .380 line-up with the new PD380, an improvement over the company's earlier PK380 with features designed to make it an attractive defensive option for those who are recoil-averse or have trouble racking more traditionally build CCW guns. Notably, the Walther PD380 combines a locked-breech action with an external hammer, reducing the racking force required to make the gun ready to fire. The single-stack magazine configuration also reduces the amount of spring tension a shooter will encounter when loading the magazine, making it easier to load and shoot.
