Smith & Wesson has officially eliminated the internal lock system with its latest line of Classic revolvers, which includes the J-frame-sized Model 36 chambered in .38 S&W Special. This is a throwback to the iconic carry-size revolvers that made Smith & Wesson famous in the mid 20th century.
