Beretta has announced the launch of the 694 Black DLC, an upgraded, modernized version of one of the most trusted shotguns in the clay-shooting world. The latest evolution of the acclaimed 694 platform, this new model pairs the superior performance of Beretta’s legendary Steelium Pro barrels with the rugged durability of a Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) finish delivering superior performance, longer life, and unwavering reliability as shooters push toward their next perfect 25.

Developed in collaboration with the Beretta Shooting Team, the 694 Black DLC builds on the platform’s competition-proven heritage. Borrowing technology trusted on the DT11 and across Beretta’s pistol lineup, the DLC coating provides exceptional wear resistance, reduced friction for smoother mechanical operation, and a bold blacked-out aesthetic highlighted by a signature acid-green accent.

Engineered for natural shouldering, quick target acquisition, and precise swings, the 694 Sporting Black DLC features a modified tapered top rib, now with a 10x7mm profile and tramline for faster, more intuitive alignment. At its core are Steelium Pro barrels with an extended forcing cone up to 450mm on a 76cm barrel which delivers reduced recoil, tighter patterns, and consistent performance with lead, steel, or HP steel ammunition. Shooters can fine-tune their setup with the B-Fast Balance System, allowing micro-adjustments to barrel and stock weight distribution. Interchangeable components and a redesigned forend catch further enhance control, customization, and on-range confidence. A beautifully figured European 2.5+ grade walnut stock available with an optional B-Fast adjustable cheek piece provides both warmth and superior ergonomics.

“The 694 Sporting Black DLC represents everything Beretta stands for,” said Caleb McMillen, Beretta USA Sr. Product Manager for Long Guns. “It’s a fusion of craftsmanship, innovation, and shooter-driven design. We wanted to give competitors a shotgun that’s not only faster and more durable, but one that feels purpose-built the moment it hits their shoulder.”

From the gloss-finished walnut to the race-inspired black DLC receiver, the 694 Sporting Black DLC is built to perform and built to last. Whether breaking clays on the weekend or competing for the podium, this shotgun meets the moment with strength, precision, and unmistakable Italian style. The 694 Black DLC will be available through authorized Beretta dealers with an MSRP of $6,599.
