Winchester Ammunition and the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP) know that the future of the shooting sports and the Second Amendment lies in the hands of the next generation, and that the next Kim Rhode is out there somewhere waiting to discover the joys of clay target shooting. It's only natural, then, that the two are working together to ensure that today's scholastic shooting teams have all the resources they need. Today, we've learned that Winchester and SCTP are coming out with some cool, collectible new branded shotshell boxes to help support that next Olympian...as well as the millions of Americans who will enjoy the shooting sports for a lifetime.

Winchester is one of the most recognizable names in the world of guns, but have you heard of the SCTP? Part of the Scholastic Shooting Sports Foundation (SSSF), SCTP is an educational-athletic organization that introduces juniors to the shooting sports by providing, promoting and perpetuating opportunities to safely and enjoyably participate and compete in a high-quality, team-based sport led by trained adult coaches focused on enhancing the personal growth and development of their athletes.

As the official ammunition of the SCTP, Winchester's unwavering support of the program has now taken the next logical step by displaying the organization’s logo on its famous Winchester Super-Target shotshell packages. These new shotshell boxes are shipping to dealers at the time of this writing, and should be available nationwide at your favorite gun or sporting-goods store shortly.

“We want more people to learn what SCTP has to offer, and this is one way to get our brand exposed to more people,” said Tom Wondrash, SCTP national executive director. “We’re really proud of what the SCTP and SSSF organizations have been able to accomplish, and every year we see exponential growth in the number of teams and participants. We really couldn’t do it without the support of brands like Winchester.”

“This is an opportunity to keep the SCTP organization in front of millions of our customers across the United States and build interest for their mission in support of the youth shooting sports,” said Matt Campbell, vice president of sales and marketing for Winchester Ammunition.
