Believing she was letting a customer into her barber shop and beauty salon around 8 a.m. on a Friday, a business owner quickly realized she was mistaken when the man suddenly attacked her. Fortunately, the woman was armed, and in defense of her life, drew her firearm and fatally shot the assailant. (nola.com, New Orleans, La., 12/03/21)

A woman encountered an unknown man in her kitchen around 3 a.m. on a Monday, who was partially undressed and performing sexual acts. The resident armed herself and demanded that the intruder leave. The man initially complied and exited the house. However, he then made an aggressive movement, which resulted in the homeowner firing in self-defense. The man was later arrested.
