A man armed with knives with intent on attacking a man and woman at their home was actually going to a gunfight—only he forgot to bring a gun, and he lost. According to reports, just before 10 p.m. on a Friday, the man was fatally wounded in what is being called a case of self-defense on the part of the intended victims. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported that it responded to a possible restraining order violation. Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased man, who had reportedly attempted to stab a man and a woman who lived at the property. In fear for their lives, the woman was able to fire at the man in an effort to stop his advances on them with the knives. Neither of the intended victims were charged.
