A woman waiting in the drive-through line at McDonald’s when a stranger walked in between her car and the restaurant. For no apparent reason, the man began arguing with her. When the woman tried to get out of her car, the man began to choke her, impelling her to punch him twice in the face. When he persisted in attacking her, the armed woman fired twice with her pistol, missing the suspect. Police arrived and arrested the assailant on charges of aggravated assault. An intruder broke into a house with two women inside on a Sunday around 3 a.m. He soon realized he had chosen the wrong home, as one of the women, in fear for life, shot the suspect in the thigh with her legally owned firearm. The 32-year-old suspect was taken to the hospital in critical condition, but the women in the house were not harmed. The woman who defended herself and home will not face charges.
