The Well Armed Woman’s Women & Guns: The Basics new online course has been created specifically for women as means to end the frustrating exercise of bouncing to and from various websites, articles and videos in an effort to find accurate information on the fundamentals of gun ownership.

The Well Armed Woman founder Carrie Lightfoot, acknowledges that starting the journey as a new female gun owner can be intimidating, overwhelming and downright scary. “I have been there and remember all of these feelings well,” she says. “Now, women can learn the basics and get their questions answered in the comfort of their own home and at their own pace.”

In this online course, Lightfoot, an NRA Certified Pistol, Personal Protection in the Home, Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor, USCCA Instructor, and Training Counselor, covers the basics of gun ownership, the laws surrounding gun ownership and use, firearms safety, shooting fundamentals, concealed carry, and more in this seven-part online course.

“This course isn’t meant to replace the invaluable experience and learning that takes place in live training with a qualified instructor,” she says. “It is meant to create a comfortable, non-intimidating place to enter gun ownership and learn the basics. My goal is for women to gain the confidence and knowledge they need to walk into any gun store or range comfortably and confidently.”

The seven-part course costs $49.99, including a downloadable study guide. Students also have the opportunity to ask Lightfoot questions as they work their way through the course.
