Women for Gun Rights (WGR), a nationwide organization of women committed to safeguarding the Second Amendment, applauds the Missouri delegates for their efforts in this year’s legislative session. State Director, Susan Myers, orchestrated appearances and testimony on an impressive 17 Second Amendment related bills. Two of these bills—HB 1175 (Second Amendment Preservation Act) and HB 328 (Public Transit Carry)—have passed the House and moved to Senate hearings, a promising step forward for Missouri gun owners.
Dianna Muller, Founder of Women for Gun Rights, said “Our Missouri State Director, Susan Myers, has done an exemplary job creating a powerful counter visual, as well as counter voice, to the gun control lobby groups like Moms Demand Action. We are shaping public opinion about guns and gun owners in a positive direction.”
WGR in Missouri has championed a wide range of protections, from rejecting red flag laws (HB 434, HB 459, SB 142) to enhancing self-defense rights (SB 363: Stand Your Ground Enhancement) and easing restrictions on suppressors (HB 898) and HOA firearm rules (HB 1415). Other key measures include firearms preemption fixes (HB 726, SB 74) and the repeal of gun-free zones (SB 147). This robust slate underscores Missouri’s commitment to safeguarding the constitutional freedoms of its citizens.
