Fiocchi of America's Pro Staff member Lanny Barnes delivered an outstanding performance at the 2026 Rocky Mountain 3-Gun Championship in Raton, New Mexico. Barnes captured 1st Place Lady in the Open division while finishing an impressive 6th overall among the Open field.
Held August 7–9 at the NRA Whittington Center, the Rocky Mountain 3-Gun Championship is one of the country's premier natural-terrain multi-gun competitions. The three-day championship challenged competitors across nine stages incorporating rifle, pistol, and shotgun, with courses designed to test accuracy, speed, movement, firearm transitions, and stage strategy throughout the rugged terrain of the Whittington Center.
Barnes delivered a strong performance throughout the championship, earning the top Lady position in Open while placing sixth overall in the division. Her finish put her among the top competitors in a field that attracts experienced 3-Gun and action-shooting athletes from across the country.
The victory adds another championship result to Barnes' accomplished career. Before becoming one of the country's leading multi-gun competitors, Barnes represented the United States in biathlon at three Olympic Winter Games in 2006, 2010 and 2014. She has since established herself across multiple competitive shooting disciplines, including 3-Gun, PCC, IPSC Shotgun and IPSC Rifle, earning national and international accolades along the way.
