It’s no secret that summer clothing poses problems for women who carry concealed. We are wearing less and lighter, perspiring more, and disinclined to carry around extra weight. While purse carry and belly bands are viable concealed-carry options for many women, recent results of a survey conducted of nearly 6,000 members of The Well Armed Woman (TWAW) found that 35 percent of them prefer to carry inside the waistband (IWB).

So how do you solve the problem of normal IWB carry during hot weather? Galco Holsters has introduced three new options that will allow you to keep your normal concealed-carry location while staying cool and comfortable.

First up is the KingTuk Cloud, which has a rigid Kydex holster pocket that covers the trigger for safe concealment, a fast draw and easy holstering. The backplate is where the magic happens. Galco’s innovative comfort cloth backing is actually an adaptive “performance mesh” that provides padding while also wicking away unwelcome moisture. This material keeps you cool, dry and comfortable where less-breathable holsters fall victim to slipping, sliding and stifling.

Constructed from the same comfort cloth is the QuickTuk Cloud (shown), which features a neutral cant and more narrow backing plate. While the KingTuk has dual clips that adjust for ride height and angle, the QuickTuk has only one allowing for easy put on and take off, while still staying secure inside the waistband.

Finally, the KingTuk Air features a ventilated steerhide backing plate for increased airflow. Combined with a sweat guard to protect you and your pistol from moisture, this breathable holster will keep you comfortable and safe on particularly hot and humid days.
