Award-winning Gun Tote’n Mamas has announced a special concealed carry course in collaboration with Donna Anthony, a renowned firearms expert, Alaska native and owner of Point Blank Firearms Academy. The event will take place at Buds Gun Shop and Range in Sevierville, Tenn., on Nov. 8-9, 2025.

This free 3-hour class, titled "Purse, Bag, Sling: How to Use Your Conceal Carry," offers participants an invaluable opportunity to train with Anthony on how to properly handle, draw and holster a firearm from a concealed carry purse. The course is open to all skill levels and requires no prior experience, featuring Gun Tote’n Mamas bags available at Buds Gun Shop.

Buds Gun Shop recognizes the critical need for this course and is excited to collaborate with Anthony. Buds Gun Shop embraces the most favored carry option for women and the urgency to provide this class led by an industry expert.

“When carrying in a purse, it’s crucial to understand how to safely handle and draw your gun, as well as maintaining situational awareness,” said Anthony. “Your purse’s design can also affect whether you have a three-step or five-step draw. A quality holster purse system makes all the difference when it comes to your personal safety.”

Anthony, who holds 35 professional certifications including SWAT, NRA, Active Shooter, USCCA and Vehicle Assault Off-Body Concealed Carry Instructor, will teach both the 3-step and 5-step draw presentations. Participants will engage in real-world training scenarios, gaining practical skills they can apply long after class ends.
