Lanny Barnes Shooting 3 Gun Babes With Bullets

Our friends at Babes With Bullets (BWB) have announced they have rescheduled some of the group’s most popular events.

The new date for the 2020 BWB 3-Gun Challenge is Oct. 9-11. Participants are asked to check Practiscore for multiple squadding schedules.

For those not familiar with the BWB 3-Gun Challenge, the annual event, held at Kay and Jerry Miculek’s Shootout Range outside of Shreveport, La., was designed to meet the growing demand for female-friendly 3-Gun matches, but not at the exclusion of men. The match features two shooting domains, with an aim to have an equal number of female and male participants. All match participants shoot the same stages of fire, with the Women’s Domain and Men’s Domain scored separately. It is also the only match in the nation to provide a free slot for junior shooters.

Diamond Camp has been postponed until 2021. This camp was designed for women who have little or no handgun or rifle experience; women who have some handgun or rifle experience and would like additional training; women who want to be taught by other women. In this camp women will learn the basics of safe gun handling; proper grip techniques; proper shooting stance; sight picture and alignment; trigger control and follow-through; and gun range etiquette.

Two other BWB events—the LACE Hog & Doe Hunt and the LACE Bird Hunt—are still on schedule for November 2020. Check out BWB's brand-new website for details on how to participate in these women-only hunts.
