Springfield Armory recently launched newly redesigned SAINT Victor firearms, comprised of 5.56 mm rifles and pistols with 11.5”, 14” and 16” barrels, as well as 16” and 20” 7.62 mm rifle variants. The new rifles feature enhanced components and professional-grade reliability. The result is a full line of top-tier defensive AR-pattern firearms ideal for women because of their wide range of customization possibilities.

Springfield Brand Ambassador Julie Golob, a world champion professional shooter with more than 175 championship titles to her name, says the AR accessory market is huge—from handguards to triggers. “Many people choose to make upgrades for ease of use, as well as adding lights, lasers, and slings,” but says the SAINT Victors offer so much without having to spend time and money on all the extras on the rifle itself. “The nickel boron trigger is flat, fast, and smooth. Seven QD cups in standard locations allow for adapting slings and setting them up in various positions.” She notes that a flared magwell “adds a bit of forgiveness to reloads” while serving as a funnel to guide magazines into position. “It’s already feature-packed. Add a sling, a magnified optic, and/or a red dot, purchase a few extra mags, and you’re ready to go to test your speed and accuracy while having a ton of fun,” she says.

New Features
For those who can understand and like to delve into the new technical features, the new Victors feature 4150 CMV barrels with a continuous tapered profile, designed to deliver optimal heat distribution and rigidity. Its durable nitride finish provides a wear- and corrosion-resistant surface, as well as taper-pinned/low-profile gas blocks and crowned muzzles. An aluminum handguard features a full-length top Picatinny rail with T-slot markings, and ample M-LOK coverage for lights, foregrips and aiming devices.

Rounding out the package in the new rifles are enhanced stocks, type 23 P-Grip pistol grips and polymer trigger guards, 45-degree ambidextrous safety levers, low-profile aluminum flip-up sights, nickel boron-coated triggers, and Gen M3 PMAG magazines. The 5.56 mm pistol features an SB Tactical SBA3 brace. Colors offered include black, as well as Cerakote Coyote Brown and Tungsten Gray models.

Ideal for Women
“What I love about the AR platform is how easy it is to customize the fit to the shooter,” says Golob. “The rifles are set up to be dependable and useful. With the pistol grip and safety location, you’re able to control muzzle direction more easily.” Golob goes on to explain that the safety is ambidextrous, i.e., moving from safe to fire is set at 45 degrees instead of a full 90-degree throw on the thumb safety. “With women’s smaller hands, it can make manipulating the safety that much faster and easier. The stock can be adjusted quickly to accommodate the length of pull, which is very important for women with smaller faces and different neck and arm dimensions. The SAINT Victor line-up allows you to customize the fit to you and whatever sighting system you use.”

Golob adds that these rifles are ready to go out of the box. “Whether it’s a foray into 2- or 3-Gun matches or someone who wishes to have a rifle for protecting their home, family, and property, there are so many uses.” Between caliber options and barrel lengths, it’s not a matter of purchasing an AR and then making additional purchases for the purpose, she says. “For women who are interested in the capability of an AR but aren’t confident with the heft and length of longer barrels, the SAINT Victor Pistols are shorter, lighter, and handier, making them a great choice to learn how to use an AR,” says Golob.
