Smith Wesson Model 642 And 66 America 250

Smith & Wesson has announced two limited-edition models commemorating America’s 250th anniversary: the Smith & Wesson Model 642 and Model 66 Combat Magnum America 250 revolvers.

The Smith & Wesson Model 642 America 250 Limited Edition commemorates America's 250th anniversary while delivering the proven reliability and concealability of the iconic J-Frame platform. Chambered in .38 Special +P with a 1.875-inch stainless steel barrel and 5-round capacity, this lightweight revolver is designed for personal defense and everyday carry. Its enclosed hammer and double-action-only trigger create a smooth, snag-free profile for fast, consistent draws.

Exclusive America 250 details include a USA 250 laser-engraved side plate, an enhanced blue synthetic boot grip, and a distinctive red thumb piece, giving the revolver standout collectible appeal. Built with a no-lock aluminum alloy frame, the revolver weighs just 14.4 ounces and measures 1.3 inches wide and 6.31 inches long, while its low-profile serrated ramp front sight and fixed-notch rear sight enable quick target acquisition. The Model 642 America 250 combines distinctive styling with practical performance and proven reliability.

The Model 66 Combat Magnum America 250 Limited Edition blends classic heritage with versatile magnum performance. Built on the renowned K-Frame platform, it is chambered in both .357 Magnum and .38 Spl. +P, allowing shooters to tailor recoil and performance to their needs. The 2.75-inch stainless steel barrel, 6-round capacity, and double-action/single-action trigger provide enhanced versatility, offering the choice of rapid double-action function or a lighter, more precise single-action trigger pull.

Designed for both collectors and avid shooters, the Model 66 features a USA 250 laser-engraved side plate, textured blue synthetic grip, a serrated ramp front sight with red insert, and a fully adjustable rear sight for greater accuracy and customization. Performance-enhancing features such as the ball detent lockup and full-length extractor rod contribute to reliable operation and durability. Also constructed with a no-lock aluminum alloy frame, this revolver weighs 33.5 ounces and measures 1.56 inches wide and 7.8 inches long. The Model 66 Combat Magnum America 250 delivers commemorative appeal alongside exceptional shootability and caliber flexibility.
