Of course we are preaching to the choir when we provide proof that women, more than any other demographic, are taking charge of their own personal protection—and having fun at the same time. We at NRA Women have long been spotlighting women who shine in their Second Amendment endeavors, whether it is 2A advocacy, hunting, personal protection or women-specific firearm training.

Now the National Rifle Association (NRA) has released a new video featuring NRA firearms instructor Robin Evans of Chicks With Triggers, highlighting the empowerment of women through self-defense training. The video, set in South Carolina, showcases the personal defense journeys of six women.

Robin Evans has taken more than 4,500 women through her program at Chicks With Triggers.

NRA Executive Vice President & CEO Wayne LaPierre commends Evans. “The NRA is proud to support Robin and Chicks With Triggers in their efforts to empower women by enabling them to defend themselves. Our latest video showcases six of the more than 4,500 women Robin has trained in South Carolina. As one of the 125,000 NRA instructors across the nation, Robin serves as an ambassador and leader in our mission of educating Americans in self-defense.”Evans emphasizes the importance of providing a supportive environment for women: “[Chicks With Triggers] is a safe space for women. We're about uplifting women. We are about encouraging women. We're about empowering women. There was no safe space where women could go and talk to other women who have been in similar situations.”

The video also addresses the hypocrisy of political figures like President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who advocate for gun control while being protected by 24/7 armed guards. This critique underscores the importance of self-defense rights for all citizens.

Testimonials from participants like Shay, who survived domestic violence, and Tameka, who was stalked, illustrate the life-changing impact of Evans' training. These stories highlight the critical role of self-defense education and the right to bear arms, especially for those facing threats.

LaPierre concludes, “Indeed, every NRA instructor plays a crucial role in empowering millions of citizens to responsibly exercise their Second Amendment rights, thereby ensuring their personal safety and security.”

The video ends with a strong message about the significance of the Second Amendment and the NRA's role in defending it. Evans states, “The NRA is single-handedly the biggest and strongest organization, especially for gun rights in this country. And I think without them, we would be absolutely screwed.”

The NRA encourages the media and public to watch this impactful video, celebrating the empowerment of women through firearms training and self-defense education.
