Many years ago, Smith & Wesson launched an advertisement that spoke loudly to women: “I hike alone, I bike alone, I climb alone. But with my Smith & Wesson, I’m never alone.” Turns out that was much more than a marketing pitch—it was a manifesto. Whether your first gun purchase is a pistol, revolver or rifle, S&W’s new GUNSMARTS program ensures that you won’t have to walk your path to personal security alone.

SMITH & WESSON GUNSMARTS starts with free gun-safety and gun handling resources. S&W has created a new video series hosted on YouTube that covers a comprehensive set of topics that address a new gun owner’s most important questions. The experts at Smith & Wesson created these lively, inviting videos to be simple and informative, welcoming newbies into American gun culture.

“As an industry leader, it’s our responsibility to help educate and inform those who have recently purchased their first firearm and help them become confident, responsible members of the firearms community. As such, we’ve developed SMITH & WESSON GUNSMARTS,” said Smith & Wesson Vice President of Marketing Kyle Tengwall. “We hope that new and seasoned gun owners leverage this information to help them become confident and responsible members of the firearms community.”

Of course, it doesn’t end there. Smith & Wesson will host a series of sweepstakes starting in September and running through October. The planned prize packages include guns, ammo, accessories and more from your favorite (or soon-to-be favorite) brands. Beginning September 1, there are three prize packages on offer: a “Concealed Carry” package, which will include a Smith & Wesson Model 340 PD and accessories; a “Home Protection” package, which will include an M&P9 M2.0 Compact 4” and accessories; and a “Range Package,” which will include an M&P15 Sport II – M-LOK.
