Team Beretta athletes delivered an impressive week of competition at the 2026 NSCA U.S. Open Sporting Clays Championship from August 11-16, earning multiple championship titles and podium finishes across the event's Main, FITASC, Super Sporting, and 5-Stand competitions. The U.S. Open also marked the second event of the inaugural Beretta Gold Cup, which brought the prestigious international competition series to the United States for the first time as part of Beretta's 500th anniversary celebration.

Team Beretta competed with Beretta's premier competition shotgun lineup, including the DT11, 694, SL2, A400 Xcel, and A400 L Sporting, showcasing the performance and craftsmanship that have made Beretta a leader in competitive shooting. Team Beretta athletes earned the following U.S. Open podium finishes:
- Diane Sorantino — Main Lady Veteran Champion, FITASC Lady Veteran Champion, Preliminary Lady Veteran 2nd Place, Super Sporting Lady Veteran Champion
- Connor Daniel — Main Junior Champion
- Anthony Matarese, Jr. — FITASC High Overall
- Meagan Grossi — Super Sporting Lady 3rd Place
- Desi Edmunds — 5-Stand Lady Champion
The strong performances continued in the Beretta Gold Cup, where Team Beretta athletes claimed three podium positions. Anthony Matarese Jr. finished third overall, Diane Sorantino was the Lady Veteran Champion, and Connor Daniel finished third in the Junior category.

The inaugural U.S. Beretta Gold Cup is comprised of three sporting clays events, with combined scores determining the overall U.S. champion. The series builds on a Beretta tradition that dates back to the first Carlo Beretta Gold Cup Trap in Lonato, Italy, in 1984. The U.S. champion will earn an invitation to represent the United States at the 2027 Beretta Gold Cup in Italy.
