A couple was watching TV in their bedroom when they heard the sound of running water emanating from a bathroom. Upon investigation, they discovered broken glass by their front door. The wife immediately grabbed a shotgun and the couple proceeded to enter the bathroom, where they discovered a 25-year-old man taking a shower. The couple held him at gunpoint until police arrived. An investigation revealed that the intruder had broken into the home with a ceramic garden ornament found on the lawn. The circumstances that led him to take a shower are still being investigated. A woman was outside watering her garden when a man approached her demanding her car. The mugger indicated that he was armed, and a struggle ensued over the woman’s car keys. In fear for her life, the woman was able to draw her gun and fire at the suspect. The man dropped the keys and fled. The man was arrested the following day.
