A woman who was being stalked by a man put an end to it on her own when he showed up at her workplace and began punching her. Reports say that the man had been stalking the woman for a while, using social media, telephones and other methods. Although the man had previously come to the woman’s workplace and had been asked to leave, this time he approached her in the laundry room of the hotel where she worked and began to punch her. It was then that the woman, who was legally armed, drew her firearm and shot the man once in the leg. Police told local media that the victim did nothing wrong and was “protecting herself like she should have done.” The man, who had cocaine and marijuana on him, was taken to the hospital, where he kicked a police officer. After he was released from the hospital, he was jailed and charged with stalking, battery, smuggling contraband, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, resisting an officer, and simple assault. No charges were filed against the woman. (WEAR TV 3; Pensacola, Fla.; 12/2025)
