A Florida woman fired in self-defense at a man who charged at her with a machete. According to reports, deputies from the Escambia County Sheriff's Office responded to a shots-fired call, which occurred after the man and woman were seen arguing. According to the sheriff's office, the two had separated after fighting but the man returned with a machete and advanced toward the woman, machete in hand. Fearing for her life, the woman drew her firearm and fired. The man was hit but his wound was considered non-life-threatening. (weartv.com; Escambia County, Fla.; 8/14/25)
