The owners of a Houston liquor store—a husband and wife—turned out to be quite the dynamic duo when they were confronted by armed robbers posing as law enforcement. A surveillance video that corroborates the couple’s story shows that the wife drew her firearm on a man who was holding a gun and a shining flashlight on her husband as he proclaimed he was a police officer. The incident occurred when the business owner walked outside to dispose of some garbage when a masked man jumped out of a car and started yelling, “I’m a cop! I’m the police! Get on the floor!” soon changing his story and admitting he was robbing the businessman. However, the wife was watching the scene unfold from inside their store, retrieving a gun before walking outside and pointing it at the armed suspect. The would-be-robber started to run away, losing his shoes and gun in the process. The husband, who was also armed, used the break in the action to draw his own firearm and fire multiple rounds, hitting the suspect at least once before he crawled to his getaway car. Neither of the business owners were harmed. "The police told me I did a great job," told local news. Police said the injured suspect eventually showed up at a hospital, but that charges had yet to be filed at the time of this report, as the investigation was ongoing.
