We Love It Girls With Guns Range Pants Main

The problem I’ve found with most hiking pants is that they’re either too warm, or make you feel like you’re wearing a giant plastic bag. Finding pants made of the right fabric isn’t easy. However, when you’re walking in thick woods with branches, brambles and poison ivy out to get you, long pants are a must no matter how hot it is.

I also insist on wearing long pants on the range to protect my legs from hot casings and gun grease residue. So it was a bonus that I discovered pants that work equally well for my range days and my outdoor adventures. If your summer plans include venturing outside, shooting prone on the range, or any other activity where your legs could use protection, check out these new Girls with Guns Carbine pants. Made from 93/7 polyester/spandex blend, the four-way stretch fabric is breathable. Its fit is articulated (which translates to "comfortable") and are cut on a flattering asymmetrical design. A water-repellent finish allows water droplets to roll right off, so if you encounter a stream on your hike—like I did—you won’t hesitate to splash right through.

These semi-fitted pants feature an adjustable pull-tab waistband and inseam, meaning they come in your size. The hook-and-loop adjusters are especially handy if you’re carrying concealed. A handgun tucked into the IWB RH holster is easily tightened by the straps, keeping the firearm more secure and flush against your body. If you’re of less-than-average height and are tired of tucking mounds of extra fabric into your boots in order to walk without tripping, your struggle is over. The easy-snapping adjustable hem ranges from 28” to 35”, allowing the straight leg cut to sit perfectly over a pair of boots.

I have always appreciated functioning pockets in women's clothing—after all, we outdoor ladies have things to carry! And these pants did not disappoint. Even their pockets have pockets—literally! Eight pockets varying in size and design are adorned in various locations: two side cargo pockets for magazines will accommodate car keys or spent brass. A single pocket on the front left and two more on the back that are also capable of closing with hook-and-loop. Whatever you have stuffed in your pockets won’t be tumbling out— even if you take a tumble over a mossy rock. Available colors are grey, olive and black. MSRP: $79.99-$89.99.

If you love the idea of breathable material, an adjustable waist and cargo pockets, but find yourself gravitating toward shorts, Girls with Guns still has you covered. Check out the Carbine shorts and Carbine pants at GWGclothing.com.
