Mossberg Sponsors Nra World Shooting Championship

The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) is proud to announce Mossberg as an official sponsor of the 2025 NRA World Shooting Championship, returning to Camp Atterbury, Indiana, from Sept. 30 to Oct. 4, 2025.

The NRA World Shooting Championship (WSC) is one of the most prestigious and comprehensive multi-discipline competitions in the world. Designed to test the skills of professional and amateur shooters alike, the event spans a wide range of shooting disciplines—including pistol, rifle, shotgun, and combined arms stages—over several days of competition. All firearms, ammunition, and optics are provided to ensure a level playing field for every competitor.

“The NRA is excited to have Mossberg sign on as a sponsor of this year’s NRA World Shooting Championship,” said Josh Savani, Executive Director of NRA General Operations. “Competitors will be tested with the fastest competitive shotgun available on the market from Mossberg as they aim to be crowned the ‘World’s Best Shooter.’ This is a competition that no one should want to miss participating in!”

This year, Mossberg will sponsor two events, supplying the JM940 Pro for both side match one and the team shoot-off. The JM940 Pro is designed in conjunction with World Champion shooter Jerry Miculek built with specs to give both professional and amateur division competitive shooters the edge they need to choose one of these from the overall prize table.

Side Match 1 – Steel Blast: Competitors will run a fast-paced, reactive knock-down steel target course using the JM940 Pro shotgun chambered in 12ga with a 10-shot capacity and fiber optic sights for rapid target acquisition.

Team Shoot-Off – The NRA World Shooting Championships has added a new event to wrap up this year’s championship prior to the awards ceremony and prize table walk.  This event will be run based on the final standings of the match.  The top 3 pros and top 3 amateurs will be selected as team captains.  They will choose 2 members from their division to fill out the rest of their team to compete with the fastest team overall being crowned the winners and taking home a prize in this final event.

All Mossberg JM940 Pro firearms used during the event will be included on the prize table, which will offer a total value nearing $250,000—available to both amateur and professional shooters.

“Mossberg is incredibly honored to partner with the NRA to Sponsor the 2025 NRA World Shooting Championship,” said John MacLellan, Mossberg’s vice president of sales and marketing. “We’re proud to support the shooting sports community and celebrate the skill, dedication and teamwork that define this world class event.”

Competitor registration is now open. To secure a spot at this world-class shooting event, visit wsc.nra.org.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available. Individuals, companies, and organizations interested in supporting the event can contact Steve Kupcha, Managing Director of NRA Corporate Partnerships, at [email protected].
