The National Rifle Association of America (NRA) has announced that the 2025 NRA World Shooting Championship, presented by Walther Arms, Inc., will take place at Camp Atterbury, Indiana, September 30 through October 4, 2025. Being held for the eighth time, the NRA World Shooting Championship is the ultimate, all-encompassing tournament to crown the undisputed “World Shooting Champion” from professional and amateur competitive shooters. Approximately $250,000 in cash and prizes are available to the field of competitors, with $25,000 awarded to the "World Shooting Champion" and $1,000 going to the winner of each stage of competition. Through this match, the NRA, match sponsors, and the state of Indiana are again showing their continued commitment to supporting competitive shooting and the Second Amendment.

“The NRA World Shooting Championship is the ultimate test of skill, bringing together the top shooters to compete across multiple disciplines,” said Josh Savani, Executive Director of NRA General Operations. “This annual event showcases the diversity and excitement of the shooting sports and welcomes amateur and professional shooters who aim to be crowned the ‘World’s Greatest Shooter.’ NRA is proud to host this world-class competition, and we are grateful for the continued support from Walther Arms and our industry partners who help make this match a resounding success.”

The NRA World Shooting Championship is the ultimate challenge for competitors in any shooting discipline. Firearms, optics, and ammunition are provided to all competitors of the NRA World Shooting Championship to set a level playing field. Competitors will compete in twelve stages of fire spanning the shooting sport disciplines.

“We’re proud to once again support the NRA World Shooting Championship—an event that brings together the very best from across the shooting sports,” said Jens Krogh, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development at Walther Arms, Inc. “This championship reflects the spirit of excellence and versatility that defines both the competitors and our brand. Supporting NRA 2.0 and events like this is part of our ongoing commitment to the future of the shooting community.”

Registration for the 2025 NRA World Shooting Championship is now open. Competitors who are planning to shoot this match are encouraged to register soon to secure their spot, as this match has filled up quickly in past years. Registration will be completed via the NRA Shooters Portal: competitor.nra.org. More information about the NRA World Shooting Championship can be found at wsc.nra.org. Also, volunteers are needed to help set up and staff the match. Staff volunteers will be provided with room and board and will be given the chance to compete in the stages before the opening. The NRA is grateful for the support from our title sponsor, Walther Arms, Inc. In addition to providing firearms for several of the stages, Walther Arms will host a demonstration bay allowing competitors to experience a larger selection of their product line and interact directly with company representatives. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available.
