Smith & Wesson has announced the release of the Bodyguard 38 2.0 revolver.
This enhanced small-frame revolver is intended for personal protection in a compact, lightweight platform. Chambered in .38 S&W Special +P, this double-action-only, 5-shot revolver features a 1.875” stainless-steel barrel and a one-piece aluminum alloy upper frame, striking a balance between durability and reduced weight for everyday carry. The Bodyguard 38 2.0 is 4.6” in height, 1.35” in width, and weighs 14.2 oz. An ambidextrous, center-mounted cylinder release allows for easy operation with either hand, supporting intuitive use for both right- and left-handed shooters. Its machined U-notch rear sight, paired with an orange partridge-style front sight, enhances target acquisition in varied light conditions, while the included polymer boot-style grip improves control and shootability while maintaining a compact footprint. This model is also now available with an integrated Crimson Trace red laser. The revolver carries an MSRP of $449.00 and $549.00 (with laser).
