NRA-ILA recently announced that it will be spending at least $2 Million in the fight against Federal Gun Control, and your Grassroots team has been traveling around the country to educate NRA members and supporters on ways to actively engage in this fight. Read this NRA-ILA Alert for a follow up on this important effort.

Speaking of gun control, have you ever wished you could formulate a quick rebuttal to some of the anti-gun rhetoric espoused in the media (or even in your own family)? Our sister publication America’s 1st Freedom has you covered with “Biden’s 5 Favorite Gun Lies Rebutted.”

We talk a lot on NRA Women about situational awareness and alertness, which are imperative to staying safe and avoiding potentially deadly outcomes. But as our sister publication Shooting Illustrated points out this month, you can’t stop those kinds of situations if you don’t see them coming. Learn how to train yourself to be alert and to stop situations from happening before they ever start.

But we may have gotten ahead of ourselves. Are you actually ready to carry a gun on a daily basis? If you’re not sure, NRA Women columnist Jo Deering spells out 4 very important questions to ask yourself before you commit to this serious decision.

And if you are already practicing concealed carry, do you pack a Glock? SIG? Smith & Wesson? See how your choice compares to the women who attended and trained at the A Girl & A Gun 2021 National Conference last month.

Now that we are emerging from a year of pandemic lockdowns, it’s time to get out and celebrate our rediscovered freedom. Last year we introduced you to 5 Top Travel Destinations for Firearm Enthusiasts; this year we have added 5 more as encouragement to take a post-vaccine vacation.

But if your excursion involves outdoor activities in extreme temperature regions, know the signs of sun poisoning and heatstroke. NRA Family tells you everything you need to know about these dangerous conditions.
