SLG2, Inc., the parent company of Shoot Like A Girl and Safe LivinG, is proud to announce a new partnership with Walk The Talk America (WTTA), a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between mental health and responsible firearm ownership.

The partnership brings together two organizations committed to empowering individuals, families, and communities with the knowledge and resources needed to promote responsible firearm ownership, safe storage practices, and suicide prevention awareness.

Through this collaboration, SLG2 and WTTA will integrate educational messaging, community outreach initiatives, and awareness campaigns across Shoot Like A Girl and Safe LivinG events nationwide. The partnership will create new opportunities to connect with firearm owners and non-owners alike, providing practical resources that encourage safe firearm handling, secure storage, and meaningful conversations surrounding mental health.

"Like many families, ours has been touched by the loss of veterans to suicide, which makes this partnership especially meaningful to me," said Karen Butler, founder and president of SLG2, Inc. "Walk The Talk America has created an important platform for conversations that matter, and I'm hopeful that together we can make a positive difference in the lives of others."

Walk The Talk America has earned national recognition for its innovative work connecting the firearm community with mental health professionals and suicide prevention resources. Through education, training, and research initiatives, WTTA continues to foster informed conversations that help reduce stigma and promote life-saving interventions.

"Karen and the SLG2 team have built an incredible platform that reaches people where they are," said Michael Sodini, president of WTTA. "What makes this partnership especially meaningful is how closely our missions align. Both organizations were founded on the belief that education, empowerment, and authentic engagement can create lasting positive change within our communities. This partnership represents an opportunity to connect firearm owners with life-saving resources while reinforcing the importance of responsible ownership and safe storage. Together, we're demonstrating that collaboration—not division—is how we move firearm safety and suicide prevention forward."

To mark the launch of the partnership, Walk The Talk America recently hosted Karen Butler as a guest on its Guns & Mental Health podcast. The episode is available on WTTA's YouTube channel and highlights how SLG2 and WTTA are working together to promote firearm ownership, mental health awareness, and meaningful safety initiatives.

Through this partnership, SLG2 and Walk The Talk America aim to reach new audiences, spark meaningful conversations, and equip individuals with the tools and knowledge needed to make informed decisions about firearm ownership, storage, and mental health. Together, the organizations are committed to setting a new standard for collaborative firearm safety education and outreach.
