A Texas woman who feared for her life while being assaulted by an ex-boyfriend took matters into her own hands, shooting the man, 45, with her own handgun. The incident started when the man forced his way into her home attacked her. The woman was able to reach her own gun and fire at him, resulting in fatal injuries. The man was pronounced dead at the scene when officers arrived. The woman was taken to a local hospital to recover from injuries sustained during the assault.
