A pair of delinquents who turned out to be juveniles are lucky to be alive after carjacking a woman in the very early hours of a Monday morning as she drove to work. Here’s what happened. At around 4 a.m. the woman said she noticed a car in front of her being driven erratically. She honked her horn as she drove around them—but apparently they didn’t appreciate the acknowledgement. Once the woman arrived at work, she noticed that the vehicle had followed her into the parking lot. As she opened her car door, the young thugs pointed a gun in her face. Fearing for her life, the woman complied with their request for her phone, phone code and car keys. Once they had those items, they drove off in her vehicle.

The woman immediately went into her workplace and called police. Hours later the woman started to receive alerts from her credit card company that her card was being used at a gas station and other nearby establishments. The woman went driving the area with her fiancé, but soon realized she was once again the target of the suspects, as they suddenly were driving behind her in the stolen car. She immediately dialed 9-1-1. While she was on the phone with the emergency operator, the carjackers started shooting at her. The woman, who was armed, returned fire at the suspects. The driver soon crashed the stolen SUV head-on into an oncoming car. The teen suspects were apprehended and are facing aggravated battery charges. (wkrn.com; Nashville, TN; 1/23/23)

A woman who was being attacked by her ex-boyfriend was able to defend herself by shooting him. Police said the aggressor, who was found suffering from a gunshot wound, was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. After the man is released from the hospital he will be taken into custody. (nbcmiami.com; Miami, Fla.; 1/13/23)
